Private Business Jets

Ten years back, the sole persons with available access to private business jets were chiefs of state, business executives, and celebrities. Not any longer. Nowadays, anybody who holds a few dollars to spare in the six figures range may fly on the luxury private jets. They can put away the frustration and the mass herding of the commercial airlines.

In a time when the commercial carriers are seeing a slump in high dollar first-class and full-fare business tickets. The credit pinch and the declining economy are encouraging the desire for fractional jet ownership of corporate jets, a system that allows purchasing portions of private aircraft to lower private jet prices. These purchases are being issued as the commercial airlines cut capacity by grounding or retiring older aircraft. A few major carriers have postponed or called off new orders for aircraft submitted a long time ago as they battle with a deadly mix of sky-high fuel costs and sinking demand as the economy drops.

Still, the corporate executives are busy individuals with lifestyles that require the most efficient mode of travel, either for a quick, personal weekend trip or a longer business trip where flexibility of schedule is a necessity. These individuals want to avoid crowded major airports, have control over their schedules and save time.

For the affluent private business jets, yachts, high-end automobiles are the biggest luxuries the working wealthy indulges in. However, business jet aircraft, in comparison to other "luxury investments", are difficult to gratify. Jet aircraft, priced in the millions of dollars, is an expensive proposal. Even when fractional ownership programs share the expenses among other owners. Ownership expenses are immense, operating expenses is tremendous, and aviation has its own special taxes.

So, the private jet card programs started. Without any ownership contracts required, people are relieved of the burden of a high-maintenance, high-priced liability, while enjoying the benefits of the asset. Private jet card programs are popular amid both those new to business jet services and the veteran executive jets traveler.

Jet card bearers may opt to choose bigger or smaller aircraft jets. Available private business jets cross a broad array from the Hawker 400XP which carries seven passengers to a Gulfstream V/550 which carries fourteen passengers. There are Challengers and Learjets available also. Executive jets available will change between programs.

Fractional jet ownership programs are not the sole option for private business jets. Private jet clubs are available that supply debit cards placed with an opening deposit (often starting at $100,000). These jet cards provide entree to an assortment of corporate jets charging by the hour. However, as it concerns servicing and safety, the jet cards provided from the fractional jet companies are difficult to surpass. As well, they have new, well-serviced fleets; provide catered meals, ace pilots and excellent flight crews. As evidence of pilot training, NetJets states their jet pilots go through approximately six training simulations annually, besting the industry average by a multiple of two.

With twenty years of experience, collectively thousands of business jets available, the top private jet companies providing private business jets (and jet cards)are really good at what they fly.
